In Writing today, we began the informational sub-genre of "How-to's." Our first step was to brainstorm a list of things we would be able to teach another person how to do.
Math Workshop application problem:
Michael planted 9 flowers in the morning. He planted 4 more flowers in the afternoon. How many flowers had he planted by the end of the day?
