We began our narrative writing unit. The memorable moments lists reviewed so far have been very well done and will be very helpful moving forward with the unit. One list was sent back home for some revisions with notes.
On Monday we took our pretest to gage where we need to begin in narrative instruction.
Today, we analyzed text for the narrative elements of character and setting. As you review your lists with your child, ask them to tell you the characters and the setting.
Example: Meeting Micky at Disneyland
Setting and character statement: Last summer I went to Disneyland with my family.
